Student Health & Counseling

Northlake Christian School is committed to nurturing students in every aspect of their development - academically, spiritually, physically, socially, and emotionally.

We believe healthy students are better equipped to learn, grow, build meaningful relationships, and fulfill God's purpose for their lives.

Student Health services are an important part of our partnership with families, providing timely care, compassionate support, and professional resources that allow students to flourish both inside and outside the classroom.

By focusing on the whole child, we provide individualized support that empowers every student to grow, succeed, and thrive.

School Nurse

Northlake's full-time Registered Nurse brings years of hospital, emergency room, and clinical experience to care for students with compassion and expertise. From playground injuries and everyday illnesses to managing chronic health conditions, our nurse partners with families to ensure students remain healthy, safe, and ready to learn.

Counselors

Northlake’s Counseling Department supports students with compassion, care, and a Christ-centered commitment to their well-being. We provide brief counseling support for personal, social, and emotional concerns, including crisis counseling and referrals when a student would benefit from additional outside care. Our counselors use evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help students develop healthy coping skills, build resilience, and move forward with hope.

Caring for the Whole Student

We believe every student is created in the image of God and is worthy of being seen, known, and supported. In partnership with families and school staff, Northlake’scounseling team seeks to walk alongside students through difficult seasons, offering encouragement, guidance, and practical support rooted in grace and truth. Our goal is to care for the whole student while helping them grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
