Spiritual Life

Spiritual Life is the heartbeat of Northlake Christian School.

Everything we do is centered on our commitment to advance the Kingdom of God by forming followers of Jesus who think critically, lead courageously, and serve faithfully.

Our faculty and staff are a community of believers committed to walking alongside students every day, nurturing their spiritual growth through authentic relationships, biblical truth, and meaningful opportunities to live out their faith.

Spiritual formation begins with students gaining knowledge through Scripture, allowing that truth to shape what they believe and value, and ultimately living out those convictions through their actions.

This process is reflected in Northlake's guiding framework: Think Critically. Lead Courageously. Serve Faithfully.

Biblical Integration, Chapels & Small Groups

Developing a biblical worldview begins with knowing God's truth and learning to apply it wisely. Biblical integration is woven throughout Northlake's curriculum from our youngest learners in the Early Learning Center to Advanced Placement courses in high school, helping students evaluate ideas, engage culture thoughtfully, and make decisions grounded in Scripture.

Elementary and secondary students regularly gather for chapel to worship together, study God's Word, and explore practical applications for everyday life. Monthly D-Groups for elementary students and Lead Groups for secondary students create smaller communities where students ask questions, deepen their understanding of Scripture, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen their walk with Christ through guided discussion and mentorship.

Student Leadership, Worship and Retreats

Biblical leadership begins with humble obedience before it becomes public influence. At Northlake, students are given meaningful opportunities to discover their God-given gifts, grow in confidence, and courageously influence others for Christ.

Each year, students in grades 1–6 lead elementary chapel services, sharing Scripture and encouraging younger classmates. Secondary students participate in annual grade-level retreats that challenge them to deepen their faith and live it out with conviction. Students also lead worship, speak during chapels, organize Bible studies, mentor younger students, and serve in leadership roles throughout campus. Campus worship nights invite the entire Northlake community to gather in fellowship, worship, and spiritual encouragement.

Serve

Campus & Community Service

Service at Northlake begins with everyday acts of humility and extends into meaningful engagement with our local and global communities.

Whether holding a door for a classmate, helping clean a classroom, serving on campus, or volunteering through community partnerships, students learn that every opportunity to serve is an opportunity to reflect the love of Christ.

Our desire is for every graduate to recognize that their gifts, talents, education, and future calling are ultimately meant to bless others and advance God's Kingdom.

Through service projects, local ministry partnerships, and countless daily opportunities to put faith into action, students develop hearts that faithfully serve wherever God calls them.
