Through visual and media arts, students explore their creativity, strengthen critical thinking skills, and learn to communicate ideas in meaningful and imaginative ways.

The creativity of visual and media art challenges students to see the world through new perspectives while developing confidence in their unique ideas and talents.

From elementary art through our AP Art classes, students are encouraged to explore a variety of techniques, styles and media in the visual arts. Northlake’s talented students regularly receive awards and recognition at local and regional art competitions. Some even lend their talents to the NCS Theater Department, designing and creating sets for the twice-yearly theatrical productions.
