Music

A young man plays a trumpet in the foreground while a woman plays a flute behind him, both in matching marching band uniforms against a blurred background of a field at night.

Music at Northlake Christian School inspires students to glorify God through creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

From their earliest years, students discover the joy of music through our elementary enrichment program, where they build foundational skills by exploring rhythm, melody, and a variety of instruments, including percussion, keyboard, recorder, and ukulele.

These early experiences foster confidence, creativity, teamwork, and self-expression while cultivating a lifelong appreciation for music.

Dedication & Artistry on Full Display

Beginning in sixth grade, students with a passion for music have the opportunity to join the Wolverine Band, where they continue developing their talents through performance and musical growth.

A favorite tradition on Friday nights, the Wolverine Marching Band energizes football games and pep rallies while also showcasing its talent in regional marching competitions each fall. During the concert season, the Concert Band and Beginner Band captivate audiences with annual Christmas and spring performances that celebrate students' dedication and artistry.

Using Our Musical Gifts to Honor God

High School students also have the opportunity to lead others in worship through Northlake's Praise Band, which provides inspiring music for weekly chapel services, worship nights, and special events throughout the year. Whether performing on the field, on stage, or in worship, Northlake musicians use their gifts to honor God, encourage others, and enrich the life of the school community.
