Elementary

Northlake’s elementary students thrive in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment that builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Guided by experienced, caring teachers, students are challenged through a rigorous curriculum that fosters creativity, exploration, and discovery. Excellence in reading, math, science, and history equips students with both academic confidence and a biblical understanding of the world around them.
Through a focused STEM curriculum, students engage in hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Enrichment activities and extracurricular opportunities promote character development, meaningful social connections, and leadership growth.
Pre-Kindergarten-1st
Beginning in Pre-K, children develop strong phonics-based reading skills, build foundational math concepts, and learn through purposeful play. As they progress through Kindergarten and 1st Grade, students continue to strengthen their reading, logical thinking, and communication skills while experiencing biblical integration in every subject. From verse memory and singing to hands-on learning and creative activities, each day is filled with meaningful opportunities that prepare young learners for future academic success and a lifelong love of learning.
2nd-4th Grade
In second through fourth grade, students focus on critical thinking and problem-solving through grammar, math, science and history, all through the lens of God's word. Electives and extra-curricular activities encourage character development, social interaction, and leadership. With a focus on writing and research skills, Northlake's elementary students develop the tools they need to cultivate habits of academic engagement, Christ-centered inquiry, and community involvement.
5th-6th Grade
In fifth and sixth grade, the curriculum weaves together biblical truths and broad fields of study, from enrichments such as Art, Music, and STEM to the foundational tracks of Bible, Science, History, Math, and English. As a 1:1 school, technology is integrated into classroom content in lab-based and hands-on courses. Considered the leaders of elementary, the fourth through sixth graders learn what true servant leadership is through opportunities to mentor younger students in classrooms.
