AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION - HEART WALK (Saturday, April 21, 2012)
The American Heart Association is going to need volunteers to participate in the upcoming 2012 Northshore Heart Walk on Saturday, April 21, 2012. Each year, we motivate walkers to go above and beyond the call to advance our mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. The Heart Walk calls on all Americans to be a catalyst for change by creating a culture of physical activity and wellness in order to live longer, healthier lives. This year’s walk will attract over 2,000 people who will be reached by our lifesaving message of prevention.
Volunteers can be used in a number of ways (see attached assignments). Volunteers the day of the event should arrive at 7A – 11A to assist with set-up along the route and crowd control. We also need volunteers to be there at 11A – 1P to assist with break-down of the event. We expect to leave the park at 1P. The more volunteers we have the day of the walk, the better is for everyone. We have lots of people showing up.

VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENTS
COVENANT CHURCH - FESTIVAL - Sunday, May 20th
Arrive by 9:30. I will give them a run down of the day then. They will be with K-6th graders, who will be arriving at 10 a.m. We’ll start off with free play, then praise and worship. They’ll be assisting them in a craft, games, over seeing lunch time (they’ll be served lunch as well)...then closing with a Christian movie. The adult’s event is scheduled to end by 12:30...so I’m guessing everything will wrap up by 1 p.m. It’s going to be a fun day for the kids who volunteer.

LAKEVIEW REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER - VOLUNTEER AUXILIARY - 2012 SUMMER JUNIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
We are now accepting applications for our 2012 Summer Junior Volunteer Program. The Program is from June 1, 2012 through July 31, 2012. Applications may be obtained at the Admit Desk and Volunteer Desk.
Please note that the deadline for applying for the 2012 Summer Junior Volunteer Program is April 11, 2012 and applicants must be 14 years of age by the second week of June 2012.
