English Department Chair

Jenni Vega arrived on the campus of NCS in 2002 with a desire to minister to young people however she could.  After eight years as a classroom teacher and six years as the English Department Head, Mrs. Vega is presently working as the Secondary School Counselor assisting the students of NCS with academic, college/career, and personal counseling.  Mrs. Vega holds her undergraduate degree in English from Southeastern Louisiana University and is currently completing her Master's degree in Education with a specialization in school counseling from Liberty University.  Mrs. Vega and her husband, Reginald, have three children, Dominick, Abigail, and Andrea, who all have attended NCS since preschool.  The Vegas are active members of New Beginnings Church in Covington.

Social Studies Department Chair

Ben D. Haindel began his teaching career at NCS in the fall of 1997 after receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies Education with a minor in Mathematics from Louisiana College.  Mr. Haindel earned his Masters degree in Educational Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2000.  Mr. Haindel attended NCS beginning in Kindergarten and graduated from NCS in 1993.  He has served in many capacities at Northlake, including coaching softball and Girls Basketball. He is currently the Director of Alumni, Student Senate Sponsor, Social Studies Department Chair, and serves as the Director of Camp Northlake during the summer. Mr. Haindel is a graduate of the School Leadership Center of Greater New Orleans - Aspiring Leader program. Mr. Haindel is married to Courtney Haindel, Secondary Assistant Principal at Northlake. The Haindels have three daughters, Mary Evelyn, Molly Mae and Campbell -- all who have attended Northlake since preschool.

Math Department Chair

Lisa Clement has been teaching at NCS since 1995.  She has 4 yrs of teaching experience prior to coming to NCS. Mrs. Clement has a degree in Mathematics Education from SELU and a Masters of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. She and her husband Pete have three grown children, PJ, Whitney, and Travis all who graduated from NCS. The Clement family attends Covington First Baptist Church.

Fine Arts Department Chair

Ken Nobles came to Northlake in 2004 from Fort Worth Texas where he served as Athletic Director, coached high school girls’ basketball, and taught junior high math.  Mr. Nobles received his Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies and English from William Carey University and his Masters Degree in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX.  Mr. Nobles now serves as the Department Chairperson for our Creative Arts Department and teaches AP English, Bible, and Creative Writing.  He also leads a class for Northlake’s Praise Team, helping them to prepare for leading worship in chapel each week.  He and his wife Gretchen attend Northshore Vineyard Church in Covington, LA.

Bible Department Chair

Lee Manguno is an NCS graduate (Class of 1980) and returned to her alma mater to teach fourth grade in 1990.  From teaching fourth grade, she moved into teaching language arts to 6th graders for a few years.  Then as she delighted in the Lord, He gave her the desire of her heart…teaching Bible full time…and to junior high students.  Lee graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University and is certified to teach grades Kindergarten through eighth grade.  She has found her place as the junior high Bible teacher and also chairs the Bible department.  Lee and her husband Bart live in the Folsom area and have two daughters and four grandchildren.  In fact, a third generation Manguno has entered Northlake as the Wolverine tradition continues for the Manguno family.

Language Department Chair

Angela Cusimano Saucier came to Northlake in 2006 after 14 years of teaching Spanish in public schools in Hammond and Mandeville.  She has taught Spanish at the K-4, 9-12, and university levels, but high school students have always been her favorite age group.  Mrs. Saucier graduated from Slidell High School and received her bachelor's degree in Spanish Education and master's degree in Secondary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University.  She also lived in Mexico and attended Spanish classes there before beginning her teaching career.  Mrs. Saucier and her husband have two adult children and one child who is a student at Northlake.  She and her family attend Church of the King in Mandeville.
