Northlake Christian School

Our Enrichment Program rounds out our academic program by including science, music and movement, and is under the direction of Mrs. Margie Loomis.    Library time is an additional time of enrichment under the direction of our school librarian, Mrs. Andy Johnson.

• Science time
  • An awe-inspiring time as Mrs. Margie reveals the creation of God to the children in many different ways.  Lessons on insects, water, birds, wind and air, sound, and so many other things enthralls the children each week.  Our teachers will incorporate this into their curriculum this semester.
• Music and movement
  • A favorite time for the children as Mrs. Margie gets them "in tune" with music using singing, clapping, marching, dancing, scarves, instruments, and so much more to help them understand rhythm, timing, types of instruments, etc.  Our teachers will incorporate this into their curriculum this semester.
• Library
  • Mrs. Andy Johnson uses her skill as a master storyteller to encourage the children to use their imaginations and  helps to give them a love for books so that they will  want to learn to read for themselves.  Many times Mrs. Johnson will dress up as a character in a book to bring it more to life; she enjoys it as much as the children do!
• Sign Language
  • All of our teachers teach the children the alphabet, numbers, colors, words and phrases that are helpful in the classroom.  Many of our classes learn their scripture verses in sign language.  The love it; it is a beautiful language.
• Spanish
  • The children enjoy learning words and phrases in Spanish, singing songs in Spanish, and using Spanish in the classroom with their teacher.
