Daycare for Children - 6 Weeks to 2 Years
In response to a clear need within the Christian community, Northlake
Christian School began to serve younger and younger students several years
ago. In 2005-2006, the school opened its first limited program for infants
and toddlers,...and the response has been tremendous. Parents of tiny tots
deeply appreciate the warm, loving care and Biblical values which have
become a hallmark of Northlake Christian Preschool. |
 | The NCS DayCare program offers families the watchful care of mature
Christian women, a safe but stimulating daily environment, and hours to
accommodate parents’ most demanding schedules. Music, play and appropriate
toys help stimulate thinking and motor skills as the children learn to
interact with the world around them. It is the school’s clear position
that children belong with their parents. When circumstances require
parents to work outside of the home, it’s our privilege at NCS to love and
serve during those hours when the parent is unavailable. |

Preschool for Children, Ages 3-5
Northlake Christian Preschool is a private, nondenominational Christian
preschool, offering a program of quality education for children from three
to five years old. Designed to be far more than a daycare program, the NCS
preschool is educationally stimulating, nurturing and secure. The NCS
Preschool centers upon a four-fold foundation based upon our mission
statement and Luke 2:52: “And Jesus grew in wisdom, stature and in favor
with God and man.” |

 |
Academic Development:
“And Jesus grew in wisdom...”
The NCS preschool program is distinct because it is Christ-centered,
seeking to honor Him in every aspect of both work and play.
Special emphasis is placed upon building the intellectual and
developmental foundation for academic success. Teachers work closely and
tirelessly with students to nurture strong language skills, phonics-based
reading readiness, meaningful and concrete math understandings, and fine
motor skills development to facilitate real writing skills. Bible, music,
science and library supplement the core curriculum. |
|
 |
 |
Physical Development:
“...in stature...”
Preschool children at NCS enjoy regular opportunities for vigorous play
and to develop gross motor skills during playground time and creative
movement exercises. Daily nutritious meals and snacks, included in the
regular tuition, foster good eating habits for growing bodies.

 |
Spiritual & Social Development:
“...and in favor with God and with man.”
We want each child to recognize that Christ is continually present with
them. Correspondingly, classroom standards reflect acceptance, provide
limits and encourage respect for one another. |

 | Our three-year-olds develop reasoning and thinking skills through exposure
to the A-Beka curricula. Child-centered, age-appropriate activities center
around themes designed to build a foundation of understanding God, Jesus,
the Bible, self, others, and the natural world. Four-year-olds progress to
a full A-Beka curriculum where continuing development of phonics, reading,
writing, language development, and math skills prepares students for the
more formal kindergarten experience. This program is enriched through
Bible, creative movement, music and computer instruction. |
