NCS Library Zone - First Semester of
2006-2007
The first
semester of the school year saw a new group of students in the Library Zone,
a club for fifth and sixth graders at NCS which promotes reading and service
to others through reading.
Activities included
helping younger students make their wish lists for the Scholastic Book Fair
in October, designing posters to promote National Children’s Book Week in
November and sharing a story with preschool classes in December.
Students also learn
about shelving books properly and preparing books for cataloging.
