Missie Arnold, M.Ed. Lower School Principal
Missie Arnold, the Lower School Principal came to Northlake Christian in 2006 and has previously taught English Language Arts at the high school and middle school levels over her sixteen year career in the classroom. She graduated from Crescent City Baptist High School in Metairie and has worked for twenty years in Christian education. Ms. Arnold currently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Loyola University, New Orleans, her Masters of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University, and is currently working on her doctorate from Southeastern Louisiana University in educational leadership. Ms. Arnold has one son, Mitchell, who also attends Northlake.
Melissa Krone, 3-6 Lower School Academic Dean
Melissa Krone came to Northlake in 2007. During her time at Northlake, she has taught 4th and 6th grade language arts, math, science, and social studies. Mrs. Krone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University and received her Alternate Teaching Certification from the University of New Orleans. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in education with a specialization in educational leadership from Liberty University, and recently, she completed the Aspiring Leaders program through the School Leadership Center of Greater New Orleans. Mrs. Krone and her husband, Chris, have two boys, Gavin and Nathan, who both attend the Northlake Christian School. The Krone family attends church at Northwood Church in Mandeville.
Darlynn Mitchell, Administrative Assistant
Darlynn Mitchell has been working at Northlake Christian for 29 years. Mrs. Darlynn started working on the hot lunch line when her son, Justin, was in the preschool. She then added after school care to her work schedule, working in both capacities and eventually running both programs for the school. In 1994, she accepted the position of elementary secretary, and has loved it ever since. Mrs. Mitchell has been married 43 years to her high school sweetheart, Mark. She has two grown children: Jennifer Hem and Justin, who both attended NCS from K – 12.
