The Northlake Christian School Statement of Faith

The primary purpose of Northlake Christian School is the Christian education of children and all related and permitted activities consistent with its status as a corporation organized for religious, charitable, literary and educational activities. The basic premise of the School is that education is a proper necessary ministry within the Body of Christ and this School remains committed to that objective. To this end, the School acknowledges that the Word of God is the final authority for faith and practice. 

In order to achieve its purposes and the several goals set forth in this Statement of Policies and Procedures, the School adopts a Statement of Faith to which each member of the Board of Directors and each administrator, teacher and staff member shall annually subscribe:

(A) I believe in the Bible to be the only inspired Word of God and that such Word of God is without error in its original writing. (II Tim. 3:16; II Peter 1:21)

(B) I believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Gen 1:1; John 10:30; John 10:37-38)

(C) I believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Chris, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious death and atonement through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension tot he right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Isaiah 7:14; Matt. 1:23; Luke 1:35; Heb. 5:15; Heb. 7:25; John 2:11; Heb. 9:12; Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14; John 11:25; Acts 1:11; Rev. 19:11-16)

(D) I believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit and essential. (Rom. 3:19, 23; John 3:16-19; John 5:24; Eph. 2:8-10; Titus 3:5-6)

(E) I believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling and filling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life. (Eph. 5:18; Eph. 4:30; I Cor. 3:16; I Cor. 6:19-20)

(F) I believe in the resurrection of the saved and lost, the saved unto life eternal in the presence of God and the lost unto damnation, separated from God. (John 5:28-29)

(G) I believe in the spiritual unity of the church, which is the Body of Christ, composed of all who have been regenerated through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Rom. 8:9; II Cor. 12:12-13; Gal. 3:26-28)

(H) I believe in the creation of man by the direct act of God. (Gen. 1:26-28; Gen. 5:1-2)

(I) I believe in the eternal security of the believer. (Heb. 7-10)
