ELC Teacher of the Month

Debbie O'Connor is the ELC's October Teacher of the Month.

This is Mrs. Debbie's eleventh year teaching at NCS, where she teaches the Preschool Three's class. Prior to that she worked childcare at Franco's for a year and provided childcare from her home for about six years.

Mrs. O'Connor has bee married for 22 years years to her best friend husband, Jim. They have two children: Kayla, a 2015 graduate of NCS and now a junior at Mississippi College, and Daniel, a junior at NCS.

Their family includes a Catahoula/mixed breed rescue dog, Gracie, who is afraid of her own shadow. They have a Tortie cat, Sabrina, who plays fetch like a dog, and Daniel has a ferret named Archie.

She loves to read, and is a fan of classic, clean romance like Jane Austen and Elizabeth Gaskell. Mrs. Debbie also enjoys Christian fiction by Francine Rivers, Karen Kingsbury, Denise Hunter and Becky Wade. She also loves workbook Bible studies by Beth Moore, Max Lucado and more.

Mrs. Debbie has been a preschool children's minister through various churches for the last twenty years, but she is taking a little break right now. The O'Connor family attends Church of the King.
