Monty Fontenot, M.Ed. Head of School

Mr. Fontenot is in his eighteenth year at Northlake, his third as Head of School, after serving for thirteen years as the secondary principal. Mr. Fontenot began his teaching career in 1989 at St. Paul's School in Covington, where he graduated from in 1984. He taught mathematics and was the head basketball coach and assistant baseball coach. Mr. Fontenot holds his undergraduate degree in mathematics from Belhaven College and his masters in education administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mr. Fontenot is a 2008 Fellow of the School Leadership Center of Greater New Orleans. Mr. Fontenot and his wife of 27 years, Jan, are parents of three NCS students: Ellen (2014), Adele (2016), and Claire (2017).  The Fontenot family attends church at Northlake Assembly of God in Covington.






Michelle Stewart, Director of Business and Finance
Michelle joined Northlake Christian School in May 2006 as the Accounts Receivable Clerk. In March 2007, she moved to the position of Controller. She became the Business Manager in July of 2012 .She has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and has worked in Governmental Accounting at  the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and for Public Accounting for CPA firms in Georgia and Louisiana. She is married to Terrel, who has been in the ministry serving in churches in Louisiana, Texas, and Georgia from the start of their marriage in 1988. He is currently teaching Bible and vocal music at NCS. Their three daughters are NCS Alumn Megan (2011), Katelyn (2013) and Lauren (2015)





Lynn Graham, Director of Ministry Advancement

Lynn Graham came to NCS in 1987. She attended the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, majoring in business administration. Ms. Graham began as a preschool teacher at NCS then, in 1991, moved to the preschool director position. Lynn has been in charge of after-school care programs, summer camps, and taught 3rd grade. In 2001, Lynn moved into the business office as a receptionist, and Dave Diamond's assistant. She has served as admissions director, office manager, accounts receivable, alumni director, and Director of Ministry Advancement. She has been married to Dr. Mark Graham for 46 years. They have three sons and three grandchildren. Lynn is an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Folsom.






Brandi Cavalier, Director of Development

Brandi Cavalier joined Northlake Christian School in January of 2016 as the Director of Development.  She comes to Northlake with a professional background that includes roles in sales, marketing, and business development for institutions such as Tulane University School of Law, The Princeton Review, Pearson Education, and St. Tammany Parish Hospital.  Mrs. Cavalier is a graduate of the Louise S. McGehee School in New Orleans, LA and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University.  She and her husband, Nick, have three children at NCS: Hudson (2030), Ansley (2031), and Emmy Rose (2032).    







Susan Hickey, Early Learning Center Director

Ms. Hickey has come to Northlake Christian School after spending eight years at Calvary Baptist School in Slidell. During her time at CBS, she served as a teacher for three years and a principal for five. Ms. Hickey has an associate's degree in early childhood education from Nunez Community College, a bachelor's degree in social science from Upper Iowa University, and a master's degree in special education from Grand Canyon University.

Susan lives in Slidell and has five children. Her two youngest children: Daniel, 16, and Katelyne, 14, attend Northlake. The Hickey family attends Calvary Baptist Church in Slidell where Susan leads the children's ministry department.




Missie Arnold, M.Ed. Lower School Principal

Missie Arnold, the Lower School Principal came to Northlake Christian in 2006 and has previously taught English language arts at the high school and middle school levels over her sixteen year career in the classroom.  She graduated from Crescent City Baptist High School in Metairie and has worked for twenty years in Christian education.  Ms. Arnold currently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Loyola University, New Orleans, her Masters of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University, and is currently working on her doctorate from Southeastern Louisiana University in educational leadership.  Ms. Arnold has one son, Mitchell, who attends Northlake and will graduate in 2017.






Melissa Krone, Lower School Academic Dean

Melissa Krone came to Northlake in 2007. During her time at Northlake, she has taught 4th and 6th grade language arts, math, science, and social studies. Mrs. Krone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University and received her Alternate Teaching Certification from the University of New Orleans. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in education with a specialization in educational leadership from Liberty University, and recently, she completed the Aspiring Leaders program through the School Leadership Center of Greater New Orleans. Mrs. Krone and her husband, Chris, have two boys, Gavin and Nathan, who both attend the Northlake Christian Lower School. The Krone family attends church at Northwood Church in Mandeville.



Jenni Vega, Middle School Principal

Jenni Vega arrived on the campus of NCS in 2002 with a desire to minister to young people however she could.  After eight years as a classroom teacher, six years as the English Department Head, six years as the Secondary School Counselor, and one year as Secondary Assistant Principal,  Mrs. Vega is presently working as the Middle School Principal.  Mrs. Vega holds her undergraduate degree in English from Southeastern Louisiana University and  her Master’s degree in education with a specialization in school counseling from Liberty University.  Mrs. Vega and her husband, Reginald, have three children, Dominick, Abigail, and Andrea, who all have attended NCS since preschool.  The Vegas are active members of New Beginnings Church in Covington.


Sean Englert, Middle School Assistant Principal

Mr. Englert began at NCS in August of 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and a Master of Arts in teaching from LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA. He is currently completing a Doctorate of Education in education leadership from Liberty University. He most recently served as the men’s varsity basketball coach and an upper school classroom teacher before transitioning into Northlake Christian Middle School administration. When he is not in the classroom, Mr. Englert can be found daydreaming about traveling or honing his cooking skills in the kitchen. Sean and his wife, Tiffany, are part of Vintage Church in New Orleans. 



Michele Margavio, Upper School Principal

Mrs. Margavio began at NCS in June of 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from the University of New Orleans, a Master of Education in adult education from Northwestern State University and is currently finishing a Doctorate of Education in education leadership from the University of New Orleans. Most recently, while teaching in the St.Tammany Parish Schools, Mrs.Margavio was awarded the Louisiana Educator of Distinction Award as well as Teacher of the Year Award. As such, she was recognized for her commitment to improving instructional delivery methods and student achievement.  When she is not in the classroom, Mrs. Margavio can be found training for her next race or swimming some laps with her four beautiful children: Nicole, who is a sophomore at Loyola University, Abigail, who is a senior at NCS, Kaitlyn, who is a freshman at NCS and Phillip, who is an eighth grader at NCS. Michele and her husband, Chuck, are active members of Church of the King in Mandeville.



Tony Agresta, Athletic Director

Mr. Anthony Agresta joined NCS as the Athletic Director in 2007. He moved here from northeast Ohio, where he previously served as the Principal of Youngstown Christian School. Previous experience includes serving as Principal & Founder of Father’s Heart School in Ohio; A Teacher, Coach of Football, Baseball and Basketball in private and public schools in Ohio. He has served as a missionary with “Youth with a Mission” overseas and in the states. Mr. Agresta graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea. He and his wife Lorrie have four children: Aaron, Celeste, Micah (NCS Graduate 2011), and Sarah (NCS Graduate 2015). 
Along with his duties as Athletic Director, Agresta has served as the head football coach since 2009.



Joan Mondor, Discovery Center Director

Joan Mondor joined the faculty of NCS as a classroom teacher in 1986. After one year in sixth grade and fourteen years in kindergarten, she left the classroom to pilot academic support services through the Discovery Center in 2001.
Joan trained as an educational therapist through the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD) and holds their professional certification. She earned her undergraduate degree with a double major in Bible and elementary education from Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, AL. She holds a Master’s of Education, with a specialization in reading, from the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, AL. 
Joan and her husband, Gary, are members of Mandeville Bible Church. Their three children graduated from NCS.




Mike Adams, Director of Technology

Mike Adams came to NCS in 2013, and has taken the position of Director of Technology. Mike has over 24 years of Management Information Systems experience in law firms, and a background in Business Process Management. He has focused his Information Technology career on process improvement utilizing tools of technology to make organizations more efficient. He is a speaker at American Lawyer Media's LegaTech events around the United States, and was a member of the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA). Mr. Adams has an A.S. in Legal Studies and a B.A.S. in Technology Management. He also holds certification from Microsoft and NEC.




Tiffany Englert, Educational Data Specialist

Tiffany Englert is currently serving as the Educational Data Specialist. Mrs. Englert came to Northlake Christian School in 2013, serving as a 5th grade reading and math teacher during that school year. She has previously taught all subjects for 2nd and 3rd grades and served as a Sylvan Certified Instructor and Reading Interventionist for elementary grades prior to joining the Northlake team. She has formerly served as a School Data Committee Member and as a Teacher Mentor for new teachers. This past school year, Mrs. Englert served as one of the Academic Deans of the Lower School. Mrs. Englert earned her Bachelors of Science in Business Management Degree from LaGrange College.  She attained her teaching certification and masters degree from Louisiana College in Pineville, Louisiana. Mrs. Englert is married to Mr. Englert, the NCS Middle School Assistant Principal.
