Monty Fontenot, M.Ed. Head of School

Mr. Fontenot is in his nineteeth year at Northlake, his fourth as Head of School, after serving for fourteen years as the secondary principal. Mr. Fontenot began his teaching career in 1989 at St. Paul's School in Covington, where he graduated from in 1984. He taught mathematics and was the head basketball coach and assistant baseball coach. Mr. Fontenot holds his undergraduate degree in mathematics from Belhaven College and his masters in educational administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mr. Fontenot is a 2008 Fellow of the School Leadership Center of Greater New Orleans. Mr. Fontenot and his wife of 28 years, Jan, are parents of three NCS alums: Ellen (2014), Adele (2016), and Claire (2017).  The Fontenot family attends church at First Baptist Covington.






Michelle Stewart, Director of Business and Finance

Michelle joined Northlake Christian School in May 2006 as the Accounts Receivable Clerk. In March 2007, she moved to the position of Controller. She became the Business Manager in July of 2012 .She has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and has worked in Governmental Accounting at  the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and for Public Accounting for CPA firms in Georgia and Louisiana. She is married to Terrel, who has been in the ministry serving in churches in Louisiana, Texas, and Georgia from the start of their marriage in 1988. He is currently teaching Bible and vocal music at NCS. Their three daughters are NCS Alumn Megan (2011), Katelyn (2013) and Lauren (2015)






Courtney Haindel, M.Ed. Director of Marketing and Enrollment

Courtney Haindel re-joined NCS in June of 2017 after serving for ten years as High School English teacher, Secondary Assistant Principal and Director of Marketing from 2004-2014. Mrs. Haindel served as the Director of Marketing and Enrollment at Parkview Baptist School in Baton Rouge for the three years in between. She is a graduate of the Episcopal School of Baton Rouge and holds a B.A. in English from LSU and an M.A. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Southeastern Louisiana University. Mrs. Haindel is a 2010 fellow of the School Leadership of Greater New Orleans and is a member of the Association for Independent School Admissions Professionals. She and her husband Ben ('93) have three children at NCS: Mary Evelyn (2019), Molly Mae (2024) and Campbell (2029).






Susan Hickey, Early Learning Center Director

Ms. Hickey has come to Northlake Christian School after spending eight years at Calvary Baptist School in Slidell. During her time at CBS, she served as a teacher for three years and a principal for five. Ms. Hickey has an associate's degree in early childhood education from Nunez Community College, a bachelor's degree in social science from Upper Iowa University, and a master's degree in special education from Grand Canyon University.

Susan lives in Slidell and has five children. Her two youngest children: Daniel, 16, and Katelyne, 14, attend Northlake. The Hickey family attends Calvary Baptist Church in Slidell where Susan leads the children's ministry department.




Missie Arnold, M.Ed. Lower School Principal

Missie Arnold, the Lower School Principal came to Northlake Christian in 2006 and has previously taught English language arts at the high school and middle school levels over her sixteen year career in the classroom.  She graduated from Crescent City Baptist High School in Metairie and has worked for twenty years in Christian education.  Ms. Arnold currently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Loyola University, New Orleans, her Masters of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University, and is currently working on her doctorate from Southeastern Louisiana University in educational leadership.  Ms. Arnold has one son, Mitchell, who is a 2017 graduate of NCS.






Ben Haindel, M.Ed. Middle School Principal

Mr. Haindel is a 1993 graduate of Northlake Christian and served at NCS from 1997-2014 in various capacities - High School Bible teacher, History Department Chair, Camp Northlake Director, Leadership Council Director, School Improvement Committee Chair, Alumni Director and Level 5 Teacher. He served as the High School Principal at Parkview Baptist School in Baton Rouge from 2014-2017 and is happy to be returning 'home' to NCS as the Middle School Principal. Mr. Haindel holds his B.A. in Social Studies Education from Louisiana College and his M.Ed. in Secondary Principalship from Southeastern Louisiana University. He is a 2013 graduate of Leadership St. Tammany. He and his wife Courtney have three children who have attended NCS since Preschool - Mary Evelyn (2019), Molly Mae (2024) and Campbell (2029).





Jenni Vega, Upper School Principal

Jenni Vega arrived on the campus of NCS in 2002 with a desire to minister to young people however she could.  After eight years as a classroom teacher, six years as the English Department Head, six years as the Secondary School Counselor, one year as Secondary Assistant Principal, two years as Middle School Principal, Mrs. Vega is presently working as the Upper School Principal.  Mrs. Vega holds her undergraduate degree in English from Southeastern Louisiana University and  her Master’s degree in education with a specialization in school counseling from Liberty University.  Mrs. Vega and her husband, Reginald, have three children, Dominick, Abigail, and Andrea, who all have attended NCS since preschool.  The Vegas are active members of New Beginnings Church in Covington.




Joan Mondor, Discovery Center Director

Joan Mondor joined the faculty of NCS as a classroom teacher in 1986. After one year in sixth grade and fourteen years in kindergarten, she left the classroom to pilot academic support services through the Discovery Center in 2001.
Joan trained as an educational therapist through the National Institute for Learning Development (NILD) and holds their professional certification. She earned her undergraduate degree with a double major in Bible and elementary education from Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, AL. She holds a Master’s of Education, with a specialization in reading, from the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, AL. 
Joan and her husband, Gary, are members of Mandeville Bible Church. Their three children graduated from NCS.






Tony Agresta, Athletic Director

Mr. Anthony Agresta joined NCS as the Athletic Director in 2007. He moved here from northeast Ohio, where he previously served as the Principal of Youngstown Christian School. Previous experience includes serving as Principal & Founder of Father’s Heart School in Ohio; A Teacher, Coach of Football, Baseball and Basketball in private and public schools in Ohio. He has served as a missionary with “Youth with a Mission” overseas and in the states. Mr. Agresta graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea. He and his wife Lorrie have four children: Aaron, Celeste, Micah (NCS Graduate 2011), and Sarah (NCS Graduate 2015). 
Along with his duties as Athletic Director, Agresta has served as the head football coach since 2009.





Mike Adams, Director of Technology

Mike Adams came to NCS in 2013, and has taken the position of Director of Technology. Mike has over 24 years of Management Information Systems experience in law firms, and a background in Business Process Management. He has focused his Information Technology career on process improvement utilizing tools of technology to make organizations more efficient. He is a speaker at American Lawyer Media's LegaTech events around the United States, and was a member of the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA). Mr. Adams has an A.S. in Legal Studies and a B.A.S. in Technology Management. He also holds certification from Microsoft and NEC.
