Northlake wants to be a place where Christian families can find a high
quality educational program in an atmosphere where Christ is honored in all
things.
|
 |
We currently serve about 1000 students from preschool
through high school, all on one campus. Our students represent about
600
families from at least 65 different churches.
|
 |
Northlake adheres
to a Bible-based "Christ-centered" curriculum that is competitive on all
levels. To our knowledge, our test scores are the highest in the area. We
use a varied curriculum to take advantage of the best available educational
programs.
|
 | A Northlake
education is marked by broad enrichment offerings and opportunities aimed at
serving the "whole person" - spiritually, academically, emotionally,
socially and physically. On the elementary level, that translates into
computer classes, physical education, library science, music and art.
On the secondary level, that means a strong sports program, as many
extra-curriculers as possible, and a growing menu of challenging electives. |
|
 |
 |
Northlake meets or exceeds all state requirements and is fully
approved by the State of Louisiana. School policy is
established by an unpaid Board of Directors composed of Christian
businessmen whose children attend NCS. |
 | The 65 teachers on
staff at Northlake are hired for their Christian maturity, experience and
academic qualifications. Over 30% have advanced degrees. Class sizes are limited to 25 or fewer. Preschool
class sizes are limited further by state regulations. |
 |
Currently, Northlake is in the midst of a major expansion program
which will further strengthen every aspect of the school.
Particular areas of focus include a new gym, athletic stadium and
preschool building. |
