Meet the Coach
NCS Track and Field
Coach Troy Stevens heads up the NCS Track & Field program.
The 2007-2008 track team had an excellent showing at Regionals and the Girls Track Team was runner-up at the District Level.
NCS Track & Field program is part of the LHSAA Conference (Louisiana High School Athletic Association) District 7-1A.
The program is open to:
- Varsity (6th - 12th Grade)
- Junior High (6th - 8th Grade)
Try-Outs: All students who enjoy track and field sports are encouraged to participate. The team first gets together after the Christmas holidays.
Season: Meets begin the last week of February and conclude in April, followed by District and Regional Meets, State Meets (held in May).
Practices: Practices take place Monday and Wednesday at Mandeville High School, and Tuesday and Thursdays at NCS.
Meets: Meets are generally held during the week. Please refer to the team schedule for updated information.
Eligibility: NCS students who have a 2.0 grade point average (or better) can try out and belong to the team.
