
NCS Football
Coach Anthony Agresta heads up the NCS Football Program.
The NCS Football program is part of the LHSAA Conference (Louisiana High School Athletic Association) District 7-1A.
The NCS Football Program is now entering its 5th year of varsity competition and competes in District 8-2A of the LHSAA (Louisiana High School Athletic Association).
The Wolverine Football Program was established under the leadership of its first head coach Mark Robert, taken to their first play-off appearance and play-off win by the schools next head coach Rowland Skinner and will enter the 2009 campaign under the guidance of their new head coach Anthony Agresta. Agresta had served as the teams Defensive Coordinator the past two seasons and has over 20 years of coaching experience.
The 2009 season kicks of with the Wolverines opening up at home against the Hannan Hawks on September 4th and district play begins on October 9th with a home game against the St. Helena Hawks. Another important date on the Northlake Calendar is homecoming on Friday, October 30th when the Falcons of St. Thomas Aquinas come to town.
Who can participate? The program is open to Grades 7th - 12th.
Practices:
- Varsity camp begins August 8th.
- Junior High begins once school has started.
Season: The season runs from the beginning of August - November.
Games: Generally held on Friday evenings.
Stadium Location: William Pitcher in old Covington
Eligibility: NCS students who have a 2.0 grade point average (or better) can try out and belong to the team.

Northlake is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS-CASI)

Mr. Anthony Agresta joined NCS as the Athletic Director in 2007. He moved here from Cleveland Ohio, where he previously served as the Principal of Youngstown Christian School. Previous experience includes serving as Principal & Founder of Father's Heart School in Ohio; Teacher/ Coach of Football, Baseball and Basketball in private and public schools in Ohio. He has served as a Missionary with "Youth with a Mission" overseas and in the states. Mr. Agresta graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, He and his wife Lorrie have four children: Aaron (20), Celeste (19) Michah (15) and Sarah (11).
